An African proverb states "It takes a village to raise a child". Which I strongly agree with as an African woman. This quote was used by Hillary Clinton in her book: "it takes a village and other lessons children teach us". She belives it doesn't only take a family to raise a child unlike Bob Dole, who believes a family is enough to raise a child. I agree with Doley but yet, I believe having other mother and father figures apart from your biological parents is very helpful and beneficial to a child's growth. The guardianship and care i recieved from people outside of my family has contributed to who i am and how i view the world today. Hillary also states in her book "Children are not rugged individuals. They depend on adults they know and on thousands more who make decision everyday that affect their well-being." This shows that even though a parent is setting good examples for his or her child to make the child a better person, other things the child might see outside the house might alter the child's view from what he or she was originally thought.

September 11, 2001
September 11, 2001.
September 11, 2001 is a historic day I'll never forget and neither will the world, especially America. Four planes crashed into differents buildings in this country, killing two thousand and nine hundred and seventy four people. I remember i was in Nigeria when i heard the bad news that the United state had been attacked by terrorists from al-Quaeda. I was in fear, hoping my parents and others I know in America were still breathing. I spoke to my parents and found out they were alright, but I was still down because of the lives that were lost. This day
